Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach

Went there for the holiday buffet on 26 December 2023. ¥5000 per adult. I expected to eat Turkey, Steak and other food to make me jump for joy. There was more seafood and selections from different countries. Most of the dishes I've never heard of so I decided to try a little bit of everything. Unfortunately most of the dishes I wasn't able to eat and left my plate mostly full. The Shark fin soup was great as well as something that looked like beef stew. The crepe and dessert section was the best part of the buffet. The variety was outstanding and the taste was awesome. The staff was very nice and kept coming by to keep the table clear. In conclusion, the holiday season buffet should have a selection that highlights the season with side dishes. ¥5000 per adult and ¥2200-¥1200 for teens and below is steep for food you can't eat. I would recommend going to see if it pleases your taste buds.

This was my first time visiting Okinawa and I spent four days in the resort without leaving it for a second before departure to the airport. The resort provides everything I was looking for, a beautiful beach, a variety of water facilities, a wide range of restaurants (don’t forget to make early reservations for lunch and dinner), and most importantly a group of friendly and diligent staffs. I have recommended Ryukyu Nashiro Beach to all my friends and relatives. I’d definitely come back next summer.

It's alright, but wouldn't go again. - Due to the hotel being in a natural reserve, only a small, shallow area of the sea is actually available for swimming. - The airport is close by so you will always have the noise of starting planes. - No snorkeling possible. - A military airplane base is also closeby and the starting and landing fighter planes are cool, but very loud. - The pool and beach closes at 6PM. Before the sunset. That is very bizzare and is the biggest issue. - The balcony railing is so high that it obstructs the complete view when sitting. - Restaurants in the hotel need to be reserved a day before to have a good dinner time. - Too small pool and beach area fof the size of the hotel. - Vast majority of staff doesn't talk

If you want a quiet resort experience this is the place. We had a king bed with ocean and pool view and club floor access. Club floor breakfast is western and if you want the big buffet you pay 1/2 price. Loved the soba restaurant. It’s a gorgeous property. You’ll need to rent a car to get around and if the aquarium is on your list know that it’s almost 2 hours one way to go there so see where you want to go in Okinawa before you book here. I only wish the jacuzzi was open until 9 or 10pm. The service is top notch here and the grounds are beautiful.
